After five years of silence, Transmat Records has returned to continue its mission to release high quality techno from Detroit artists and other well-versed techno artists from around the world. Starting in 1986 by Derrick May, the Detroit-based record label was a launch pad for Derrick’s monumental releases, “Nude Photo”, “The Dance” and the highly acclaimed “Strings of Life”. It helped carve the way for the techno scene and its releases have been instrumental and influential to many notable techno DJs and electronic artists of past, present and future. An icon of the scene, Transmat Records has made a comeback in 2010, delivering its first fully realised 12-inch in years, exploding it back onto the industry and Greg Gow is honoured to be the first to release on the new Transmat with his “The Pilgrimage EP”, now available promos Vinyl only exclusivity to Vinyl-junkies Record Store, Thanks to Jp( DJ name VJP )owner of Vinyl-junkies who Persuade Derrick may to re-launch Transmat Record LIMITED EXCLUSIVE!! |
